California Supreme Court Ruling hands down severe penalties for child traffickers.
On December 28th, 2020 a ruling handed down from the California Supreme Court determined that if a human trafficker communicates with an undercover officer online in an attempt to prostitute (believing that the undercover officer is a minor) that the trafficker can face the maxiumum sentence allowed under the law (12 years under Proposition 35).
